🌧️ Monsoon: May-October is rainy season. Bring rain jacket and quick-dry clothes. July-August brings landslides on mountain roads.

👗 Dress Layers: Yunnan's altitude means big temperature swings. Dali and Lijiang can be warm (25°C) during day but cold (5°C) at night.

🍄 Mushroom Season: July-October is wild mushroom season. Try at specialty restaurants but be cautious - some poisonous mushrooms look similar to edible ones.

⚠️ Tiger Leaping Gorge: The middle trail is closed after heavy rain (risk of landslides). Always check conditions locally before attempting overnight trek. Hire a guide if weather is uncertain.
