🍵 Tea Season: Spring (March-April) is the best time to visit Longjing Village for the famous "pre-rain tea" (雨前龙井). Tea plantations open for tours and tastings. The aroma of freshly picked and roasted Longjing is unforgettable.
West Lake is Hangzhou's crown jewel - a 2,000-year-old artificial lake dotted with islands, temples, gardens, and causeways. The "Three Pillars of West Lake" are: Su Causeway (苏堤), Broken Bridge (断桥), and Leifeng Pagoda (雷峰塔).
2.7km stone causeway built by poet Su Dongpo in the 11th century. Best walked in early morning. Plums and willows line the path, lotus flowers on either side in summer.
